Rural Financial Counselling Service Queensland – South Western Region delivers the Rural Financial Counselling Program to rural producers, fishers and small rural businesses in the areas of South Western Queensland.

Rural Financial Counselling Services are provided that are:
- Free
- Confidential
- Impartial
- Independent of financial institutions, welfare agencies and government.

- Identifying financial and business options
- Cash flow budgeting
- Financial analysis
- Facilitating meetings with lenders and financial institutions
- Referrals and information on Government assistance
- Referral to Centrelink and to professionals for succession planning, family mediation and personal counselling, and emotional and social counselling
- Preparation of an Enterprise Action Plan
Rural financial counsellors do not provide family, emotional or social counselling, financial advice or succession planning services, but, can provide referrals and information.
